Doug Bell spent six months of painstaking work to create this fantastic Rocket 50 by Monogram. Doug performed many modifications including tail reconfiguration and opening the wheel wells to fit an AMT/ERTL Indy Turbine car belly pan and suspension. The body dolly was scratchbuilt and the "re-entry" flames were done with ModelMaster paints over Royal Blue Pearl.
This 1956 Chevy, titled "Del Ray Devil" by Doug Bell was built over the course of one year. Doug modified it to become a funny car with a Hard Hat Hauler Hemi engine. The interior was fully scratchbuilt, as was the engine blower and distributor.
